Sarah loves that Studio Barre gives her the opportunity to be herself on the mic {her huge smile and warm personality is contagious} and to strengthen herself with every class.

Samantha fell head over heels in love with Studio Barre in 2015 in Carmel Valley, CA. She worked as a barre{ista} at SBCV before she moved from her native California to Charleston, SC, where she worked at SBJI too! Her time at both studios made it clear that she wanted nothing more than to open her own studio.
After a year in Charleston, Sam moved to Lexington, KY in 2016 to finish up school at the University of Kentucky, majoring in English. She now calls Lexington home and wouldn’t have it any other way. As a competitive horseback rider, there is no better place to be! Sam loves all creatures, big or small, and competes nationally with her horse “Finnley 5”.
Sam {who has taken over 1,000 barre classes} and her mom, Andrea, decided to open their own Studio Barre location in November of 2019 and the rest is history…
Sam loves how Studio Barre “has magical powers that leave you feeling stronger than ever and like you are leaving with a bigger family than you walked in with!”
Andrea loves to sweat, enjoys the heat more than most, and absolutely loves all animals. When Andrea isn’t barre{bossing} or barre{tending} at the studio, she is running her hunter/jumper training business on her farm in Lexington. She is a professional horseback rider and trainer by profession! She is a southern California native, but cannot imagine living anywhere but in the Bluegrass.
Andrea was introduced to Studio Barre by her daughter, Sam, who she co-owns SBL with! Her favorite thing about Studio Barre is “the positive and uplifting community atmosphere… a great place to leave everything behind and recharge while you get a great workout in!”
Xan is thrilled to be a Barre{tender} at Studio Barre. After taking her first class seven years ago, she fell in love with the burn, the supportive community, and the awesome music. She never expected she would be giving all the love right back as a barre tender! Outside of barre, Xan loves coffee shops, camping, cooking, and spending time with her two pups. She may seem sweet, but watch out…she’s not afraid to help you get that extra shake in class 😉

in 2008, her dear friend Shannon not only suggested she try a “barre” class, but Shannon also recruited her to help open a new barre studio. kris was instantly humbled and filled with questions, yet she took the leap of faith as the first “barre”tender. she enjoys teaching and managing the amazing crew at studio barre.
She resides in Carlsbad with her husband, two kids and a dog. in addition to being an inspirational mom and instructor, kris is an incredible baker. on special occasions at the studio, kris’ signature cupcakes will make an appearance as a special reward for clients after an intense workout! she also loves running into clients around town because they will stop her and share their gratitude for their new studio barre bodies.

Cue a move from the east coast to the best coast three years ago where she met the love of her life…studio barre! ever since the first class, courtney knew she had found her home and happy place. she was in the studio four times a week, rain or shine – rising to relevé only two days before giving birth to her second baby! her favorite things about the studio were, and still are, the energy brought by barre{tenders} and clients alike, not to mention the results from a killer workout! after taking classes for several years, courtney was asked to audition as a barre{tender} and the rest is history.
Courtney loves her clients and the feeling she gets as she encourages and helps each person achieve their best class no matter where they are in life. from the youngest to the oldest, she’s inspired by the strength and plain old fun every person brings to class. courtney’s motto for class is “yes you can” because no matter what is happening in your day or whatever your fitness level, you absolutely can!
